The public will not be allowed to enter the water in Larnaca marina this Epiphany Day, the municipality announced on Tuesday.

Due to the works being carried out at the marina by Kition Ocean Holdings, the municipality said people will be forbidden from entering the dock on Friday.

It added that on the same day there will be road closures and different traffic regulations due to the procession from Ayios Lazarus Church to the waterfront. Specifically, Athinon Avenue will be closed from 10pm on Thursday until 4pm on Friday. Also Ayios Lazaros Square and the streets around it and Pavlos Valsamakis Street will be closed on Friday 6 January from 7am until 1pm.

Access and parking will not be allowed on these roads during the hours they are closed. Any cars that remain parked will be moved by tow truck, the municipality said.

During these temporary measures, appropriate traffic signs will be placed in accordance with the traffic code. At the same time, all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the movement of emergency vehicles.
