Three Fork Food markets in May

2 (1)

The first Fork Food market of the year may have been postponed from late April to early May yet fear not, plenty of street food nights are taking place this month. A rainy forecast forced Fork Food organisers to postpone the Nicosia market to May 5 and so the first Fork Food night of 2023 is set to take place this coming Friday at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens.

“The only thing changing will be the date,” announced the organisers, “as the vibes, the mood, the vendors and the bar will remain the same. Make sure to keep your spirits high and get ready for a back-to-back series of Fork Food Markets which will be announced very soon!”

Indeed, Fork Food bounced back from the cloudy weekend with an announcement for not one but three events in May. On Fridays 5, 12 and 19, the Gardens will fill with street food vendors, music and hungry visitors ready to welcome back the event that has become a spring and summer staple for Nicosia’s nightlife.

The same old recipe remains – about a dozen local food vendors cooking up tasty meals, a beer and cocktails bar and groovy music from a DJ. Food will be served from 7pm onwards and if you want to avoid the long queues, head there early.
