Police raid Chlorakas building over electricity theft

Five apartments in Paphos were found to be stealing electricity from the main power grid, police said on Thursday.

According to a statement, police investigated a block of flats in Chlorakas, where they found five apartments had hooked up cables to the electricity authority substation and were stealing power from there.

The tenants were called to the station for questioning.

During their investigations, police also found cannabis in one of the apartments, rented by a couple.

The couple was arrested.

Police are continuing their investigations.
