Forty-three-year-old man arrested for burglary in Morphou

Police arrested a 43-year-old man on Monday, to facilitate investigated cases of burglary and thefts in Morphou.

Following the arrest police searched the suspect’s house and vehicle, where they found five silver coins, a noxious gas discharger, power tools, and a half-smoked joint, all of which were confiscated.

The man is suspected of involvement in two cases of residential burglary and theft, and one case of attempted burglary and malicious damage, in the Morphou area, committed between April 22 and May 5.

Among the property reported as stolen are two shotguns and copper pipes with damages caused amounting to over €1,000.

The case is under ongoing investigation.
