Car set on fire while owner out fishing

Police in Paphos are looking for suspects after a man reported is car had been arsoned while he was out fishing.

The fire brigade and police went into action when the fire broke out on the car of a 31-year-old Greek Cypriot at around 4.30am on Sunday.

The vehicle was parked in Kissonerga when unknown people doused it in a flammable material and set it on fire. The car was almost completely destroyed as a result.

The owner had left the vehicle in the area while he went fishing with his friends.

The scene has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
