Thirty-five-year-old woman wanted for Nicosia café theft arrested

 

Police on Tuesday arrested a 35-year-old woman who had been wanted in connection with an investigated case of burglary and theft in Nicosia.

The case concerned the burglary of a café committed on May 27, around 4.30am. Cash was stolen from the premises and the shop’s sliding door was damaged during the break-in.

Police investigation turned up evidence against the 35-year-old and a judicial arrest warrant was issued against her, while on May 31 police published her details and photo with the aim of gathering information that could lead to her whereabouts.

The woman was subsequently found and arrested.

Investigations are ongoing.
