Urban sports make summer return with 2023 3×3 series

Summer finds us again this year with the exciting OPAP Cyprus 3×3 events. We are on the eve of the start of the seventh OPAP Limassol 3×3, once again hosted at Molos Limassol, over June 9-18, 2023.

The OPAP Men, OPAP Women & Scaffolding Solutions Corporate Games will take place over June 9-11. With the continuous upgrading of the OPAP Cyprus 3×3 events in mind, and in cooperation with the Cyprus Basketball Federation, we have secured participation of the winning team of the OPAP Men category in the Netanya Challenger event in Israel, where they will compete for the World Championship.

On the weekend of June 17-18, we will host the CABLENET U12 categories, as well as the U18 – U16 – U14boys – U14 girls categories and of course the OPAP Wheelchair Games demonstration competitions.

Also over June 17 & 18, with the active contribution of the Cyprus Basketball Federation, we will once again host a qualifying group of the European 3×3 Championship, with the participation of National Men’s and Women’s teams. Last year’s event impressed FIBA 3×3 decision-makers, who had gone to Limassol to watch the whole event, so with great satisfaction we are again assigned one of the three qualifying groups.

Our national teams will have the opportunity to compete for a place in the finals of the 2023 European Championships to be hosted by Austria and Israel next September.

In total, more than 120 teams will participate in all categories and events at OPAP Limassol 3×3 2023.
