Australian Cypriot to represent Cyprus at Eurovision

Australian Cypriot Silia Kapsis will represent Cyprus at the 2024 Eurovision song contest in Malmo, Sweden, state broadcaster CyBC announced on Tuesday.

She will sing a song by Greek lyricist Demetris Kontopoulou.

Silia has received many awards and was the vocalist of the Australian Youth Performing Arts Company (AYPAC) and featured singer at numerous high-profile events around the world, including soloing with Hollywood Star Alex Russell at his exclusive 30th birthday bash in Los Angeles.

Her love for music blossomed when she released her debut song Who Am I?, which she wrote and composed mostly at the age of 12.

She released her second song No Boys Allowed in March 2023 while her latest song Disco Dancer was released in May. Her next single is due out at the end of the year.
