Two arrested for smuggling over 200kg of beef into the north


Two men were arrested on Wednesday night after smuggling a total of 264 kilograms of beef from the Republic to the north.

The pair were arrested after police discovered the beef in vehicles being driven by the pair in the northern Nicosia suburb of Mandres.

Both were arrested and police seized the beef as evidence. Their investigation is ongoing.
