Friday’s weather is expected to be mostly cloudy across the island, with isolated storms.

The storms will occur initially in the west and north, progressing over the rest of the island as the day goes on.

Temperatures will rise to 19 degrees Celsius inland, 21 degrees Celsius in coastal areas, and nine degrees Celsius in the mountains.

Winds will generally be light, between three and four Beaufort, but with gusts of up to six Beaufort during storms.

The sea will be a little rough.

Overnight, scattered showers and even thunderstorms will occur, with the potential for sleet and maybe even a sprinkling of snow on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains.

Temperatures will drop to 12 degrees Celsius inland, 15 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and four degrees Celsius in the mountains, with frost expected to form in time for Saturday morning.

Winds remain light, between three and four Beaufort.

Snow is possible throughout the weekend in Troodos, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected to occur over a generally cloudy Saturday around the rest of the island.

Temperatures are also expected to drop on Saturday.

Sunday is expected to be clearer, though still with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in the north and west.
