Third arrest made in Nicosia drive-by shooting investigation

Police on Friday arrested a third person in connection with the drive-by shooting in Nicosia last week.

The suspect is a 29-year-old man from Larnaca for which police secured a witness statement against him.

So far, two people aged 26 and 27 have been arrested and are serving their remand order.

The incident took place on December 29 where a car with tinted windows opened fire in broad daylight in the Ayios Andreas area, close to the central prisons.

Nicosia CID is continuing investigations.
