A 43-year-old man has been remanded for eight days by the Limassol District Court in connection with an arson investigation.

The suspect, a resident of Paphos, is accused of setting fire to a car on Saturday night and is also under investigation for involvement in two other arson incidents, police said. His arrest followed witness testimony that implicated him in the crimes.

During questioning, the man provided various explanations, which are currently under investigation by the police.

On Friday morning, he was brought before the court and remanded in custody for eight days.

The fire damaged a 34-year-old’s car, destroyed a nearby rental vehicle, and caused damage to a third car.
