A 96-year-old, permanent resident of London, was killed in a fatal accident in Larnaca on Sunday, police announced on Monday.
The accident happened at 8.10pm on Sunday on the motorway from Rizoelia to the Kalo Chorio roundabout.
Giorgos Theodorou, 96, was driving his car when under circumstances being investigated he deviated from his course, hit the embankment and overturned in a ditch.
Theodorou was trapped in his vehicle and removed by the Fire Department.
He was taken to Larnaca general hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
