New fixed traffic cameras will be operational from Monday at the intersection of Spyros Kyprianou and Ayias Fylaxeos avenues in Limassol, police said on Wednesday.

According to police, three new fixed cameras will be operational at the signal-controlled intersection.

This move is part of ongoing efforts to reduce serious and fatal traffic accidents, promote proper road safety awareness and enhance overall traffic safety.

The cameras will monitor violations such as running red lights, crossing the white stop line, and exceeding the speed limit.

In addition to the new cameras, several fixed cameras are already operational at various locations in Limassol.

They can be found at the intersections of Archbishop Makarios III with Despinas and Nikou Pattichi, Archbishop Leontiou and Franklin Roosevelt with Omonoias, and 28th October with Iacovos Tombazis.
