Police in Limassol were kept busy over the long weekend, taking measures to clamp down on traffic and other crimes and misdemeanors. 

There was a total of 184 traffic violations from Friday night until early Tuesday morning. According to Limassol’s traffic police there were 579 car inspections. The police found 15 drivers who were drunk.

Also, nine facilities were found operating without a proper licence, while one owner was found guilty for violating the law about leisure centres, when four underaged people were found inside. 

The police arrested one person who was illegally staying in Cyprus, an underaged person who was involved in an attack, three people who were wanted and another for drugs. The police also had to monitor four football games and two basketball games.
