Police in Paphos arrested a 22-year-old man for a case under investigation of knife assault and injury with conspiracy to commit a felony over the weekend.
The crimes are being investigated by Paphos CID after they were committed on September 28.
Police had posted photos and details last Sunday of the recently arrested 22-year-old suspect, as well as of another, aged 24, aiming for information that could lead to their identification. The 24-year-old is still at large.
According to the police, the incident unfolded around 8.30pm in Paphos, when a group of men assaulted a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, causing various injuries.
The 22-year-old who was arrested was the second arrest made for the case. A 25-year-old perpetrator had been arrested the day after the assault, and his case is registered for trial before the Paphos district court.
