A 79-year-old woman was found dead in her car on Monday morning on the bypass from Limassol to Nicosia.

The cause of the woman’s death, named as Penelope Michail, is still unclear, but initial investigations have indicated it was from pathological causes.

The police investigation showed that her car swerved out of control near the roundabout in Yermasoyia before it stopped on the right side of the road divider.

Her car wasn’t severely damaged.

An autopsy is to take place to determine the exact cause of death.
