Police are investigating how fake driving licences were created as a 25-year-old man was remanded on Sunday after being found with two on Saturday.
The ‘licences’ and other material were taken by the police during a search of his home.
The Limassol man was arrested after police received a tip off that he had been creating the fake licences.
At around 2.45pm on Saturday Limassol and Paphos police officers stopped the 25-year-old for a check in an area of Paphos. He had two fake licences on him.
They arrested him both for the fake licences and overstaying his residence permit, which had expired in June.
In his home, police also found 39 other fake licences, a laptop, a printer and printed driving licences, all of which were taken as evidence.
He was taken to Paphos district court on Sunday which issued an eight-day remand order against him.
