“Colour & Light by XM”, a pioneering Childcare and Activity Centre, was inaugurated on December 12, 2024, in a heartwarming and emotional atmosphere. The Centre, a joint initiative between XM and the Cyprus Autism Association, is located in Mesa Geitonia, Limassol. It is already welcoming children on the autism spectrum as well as preschool- and school-aged kids from the community.

Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Marilena Evangelou officiated over the inauguration, with local authorities and representatives from political parties, the Church, and the media in attendance. Guests were given a tour of the Centre’s facilities, and introduced to its innovative educational and recreational activities designed for children with autism.

Fully funded by XM, the “Colour & Light by XM” Centre was established to provide a safe, supportive, and creative environment for children living with autism. The Centre offers activities led by specialised staff who focus on developing motor, social and communication skills, while fostering creativity. In keeping with its mission of inclusion, the space is open to all children, promoting acceptance and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in an environment filled with love and understanding.

Tasoula Georgiadou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Autism Association, expressed her gratitude to XM for its generous contribution. She noted that the Centre represents a significant step forward in creating equal opportunities. For its part, XM, known for its social initiatives both in Cyprus and internationally, is committed to supporting similar actions that promote social inclusion.

The event concluded with inspiration and encouragement from attendees, emphasising the importance of such initiatives, and embodying XM‘s vision for a world of equal opportunities for everyone. The “Colour & Light by XM” Centre expresses XM’s vision that inclusion is not just an aspiration, but a necessity for a better future, and is just one example of XM‘s ongoing social and humanitarian activities.
