The autopsy on the 26-year-old Polish national who died from a fall at a construction site will be carried out on Thursday morning.

All works at the construction site have been suspended, after a labour ministry inspection found some safety measures were not adhered to.

Authorities are examining the possibility of a fine to the contractor.

The autopsy will take place on Thursday at 9:30am by state pathologist Nicolas Charalambous.

Police previously said the 26-year-old was found with a bag of burglary tools. On the second floor of the construction site from which he fell from, cables and copper pipes were found.
