Not just for one demographic, partying is about to open its doors to families and those worried about getting up for work the next morning
With the carnival period just around the corner, the events calendar is filling up as revelers around the island get ready for one of the most hedonistic periods of the year.
While local municipalities have already started announcing what is to come in the festive month of February, all types of events will be taking place all over Cyprus, especially Limassol, the heart of carnival celebrations on the island.
But these events are not only aimed at one demographic. Rave Baby Rave is a new coming event opening its doors to family party lovers. Having young children should not stop you from having fun!
Baby Rave Baby creator Eve Thompson is a mother who moved to Cyprus three years ago from Las Vegas.
“Coming here, I noticed that there weren’t a lot of activities that included both parents and their kids so I had the idea to create one,” she told the Cyprus Mail.
Influenced from a baby rave she attended in the States, she brought the idea to Cyprus.
Rave Baby Rave introduces kids to techno, house and bass while adding nostalgic songs to the playlist for parents to enjoy as well.
“Because I travel a lot and I went to all types of festivals, raves and events, I saw similar ideas in the UK, the US, Australia and Berlin and I wanted to bring this marvellous idea to Cyprus as well,” Eve said.
More specifically the one in Berlin is called Kinder Rave, an event that includes all ages, from toddlers up, allowing kids to party with their parents in a family-friendly atmosphere.
“This is a great opportunity to celebrate our kids while at the same time they learn to love music and get exposed to it in a more creative way,” Eve added.
Baby Rave Baby doesn’t only offer the opportunity for parents to party with their kids but also to learn the art of DJing through workshops organised once a month.
Kids can get exposed to new things by taking part in the event, learning how to compose and produce music through the monthly workshops and perform their music to their parents.
Baby Rave Baby encourages local artists to perform their tracks at the rave.

The events and workshops are in Limassol however Eve wants to expand Baby Rave Baby to other cities of the island as well.
Two events have been organised so far and there is a third rave on February 22, to celebrate the carnival.
The rave will include a teen zone for the older kids, a toddler zone, a gamer zone, food trucks, a craft zone where kids can get creative, a calm zone for the sensory sensitive, as well as a costume and dancing competition.
But the Baby Rave is not the only upcoming event that moves dancing and clubs to a wider demographic. Another huge event will be launching in Cyprus this year targeting working adults “because they have things to do tomorrow.”
Bed by Ten gives the chance to people to enjoy themselves partying without worrying about their bedtime being too late and how they are going to get up in the morning.
Bed by Ten has toured all around the world, from Australia to the US, and finally to Europe where it will be launching in Limassol.
It targets working adults worried about clocking in early the next day, giving them an opportunity to enjoy old hits while dancing the night away without a care in the world.
