Larnaca municipality is participating in the global ‘Earth Hour’ by turning off the lights for an hour on Saturday.

On Saturday from 8.30 to 9.30pm the municipality invites everyone to participate in the campaign by turning off their lights for 60 minutes.

“With this campaign we are sending a strong message to protect our planet and reduce food waste,” the municipality said.

The lights of the Kamara Monument and Salina Park will be turned off as part of the ‘Earth Hour’ campaign.

The ‘Zero Food Waste’ campaign continues this year to raise awareness among people about consuming responsibly and prevent food waste.

The Larnaca municipality actively participates in this effort by reinforcing the need for conscious practices that contribute to sustainability.
