After basking in exceptionally high temperatures for the last few days, Cyprus will see a huge drop on Thursday with the met office predicting a 12C plunge.
“The temperature will start to drop on Wednesday, but a noticeable temperature drop will happen on Thursday,” meteorological officer Tasos Koulentis said on Tuesday.
Cold air masses with local rainfall and isolated storms will occur on Wednesday before the weather takes a turn for the worse the following day.
“Mainly on Thursday the afternoon, we expect local rains and some isolated storms while snow might fall in Troodos,” he said.
Inland on Thursday the temperature will be around 12 to 13C while it will rise to more usual levels for the time of year as of Friday.
