Six individuals were arrested on Sunday for possessing drugs in a coordinated operation by the drug squad Ykan and the regional police in Limassol, the force announced on Monday.

During the operation, police stopped four individuals on different occasions who had small amounts of drugs on them. They were arrested, charged in writing and released.

A nylon bag containing 40g of cannabis, a bag with 1.5g of cocaine and a precision scale were found on the curb of a nearby pedestrian walkway.

Meanwhile, after a warrant was issued the houses of a 27-year-old and a 34-year-old were searched.

A scale with cannabis traces and 34 hand-held fireworks were found in the 27-year-old’s house. He was also then arrested, charged in writing and released.

A crusher with cannabis traces was found in the 34-year-old’s home. He was questioned, charged in writing and then released after admitting to the possession.
