Cyprus Olympic Committee and Deloitte renew strategic partnership
The Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC) and Deloitte Cyprus on Friday formalised the renewal of their strategic partnership as Professional Services Partner during an event held in Nicosia.
The event took place at Deloitte’s offices in the Cypriot capital, in the presence of representatives from both organisations, athletes and invited guests, reaffirming their long-standing collaboration in support of Cypriot sport and the country’s Olympic ambitions.
“The renewal of the partnership marks the continuation of a shared journey that began in the previous Olympic cycle and culminated at the Paris 2024 games, with the next major milestone being Los Angeles 2028,” said alpine skiing athlete and presenter Yiannos Kouyoumdjian.
He added that the partnership represents an investment in people, dreams and athletes’ efforts, while welcoming athletes Petros Christodoulides and Georgios Balarjishvili from judo, and Natalia Christofi from athletics.
“This cooperation is based on common principles and values such as transparency and trust,” said Cyprus Olympic Committee president Georgios Chrysostomou.
He described Deloitte as a reliable partner of the Olympic movement globally and said the renewed agreement strengthens support for athletes ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
He also highlighted the importance of supporting athletes both on and off the field through initiatives that enhance their overall development.
“The renewal confirms our shared commitment to strengthening the Olympic movement and creating a positive social impact,” said Deloitte Cyprus chief executive officer Pieris Markou.
Marko further stated that the partnership is “grounded in values such as excellence, integrity and teamwork, with the aim of inspiring younger generations and enhancing the Olympic experience”.
He also expressed pride in supporting Cypriot athletes who represent the country internationally, reinforcing the company’s social contribution.
“Sport is for me a way of life, full of effort, dedication and moments that shape you as a person, and the support we receive is decisive because it gives us the strength to continue chasing our dreams and represent Cyprus with pride internationally,” said athlete Natalia Christofi.
“The renewal underscores Deloitte’s continued support for the Cyprus Olympic Committee and strengthens their shared path towards the next Olympic Games, contributing to the development of Cypriot sport,” an official announcement mentioned.
