Police Car 03

A father and son were beaten up by unknown people in Palodia, Limassol overnight on Saturday shortly after an explosion was heard in the area, police said on Sunday.

On hearing an explosion, a 23-year-old dashed out of his house to see what was going on and to make sure no damage had been done to his car. Once outside he came face to face with a group of six youngsters who had their faces covered.

The six then reportedly attacked him and then his father, who had come out of the house to see what was going on and then tried to protect his son.

The pair reported the incident to police who are investigating.
