The health ministry said on Saturday it has ordered 400,000 additional rapid antigen tests and announced the start of tests in industrial areas in all districts to cover businesses that will remain open during the lockdown.
The ministry said the testing programme aims at covering as many people as possible as part of its strategy to test, track, and isolate positive cases and limit the spread inside the community.
The ministry said it will use mobile units to test workers in industrial areas where businesses will remain open during the lockdown.
“Through the mobile units, workers who will continue to be physically present at work are afforded the capability of undergoing tests to protect their health and safety. It also ensures that businesses do not have any infections on their premises.”
The mobile units’ locations will be announced on a daily basis.
