Cocoa Puff: the bunny with an outsize place in his family’s heart

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

Cocoa Puff is a giant rabbit who constantly brings big smiles to his human family.

Mum of the family, Lindsay Smith, said she was amazed at how gentle and sweet their continental giant rabbit was from the moment she brought him home, and how patient he is with three-year-old Macy.

Given his size and special place in their lives, Cocoa Puff hops around the house like any other member of the family and doesn’t live in a cage.

Nevertheless, Smith wants families to do their research before adopting these fluffy friends, as they require a lot of hands-on care and attention.

“They are not starter pets,” she cautions. “Rabbits take more care than a dog or cat.”
