Man jailed for 14 months for growing cannabis

Larnaca district court on Friday sentenced a 40-year-old man to 14 months in jail for cultivating cannabis.

The man, who is from Limassol, was arrested on January 15 after the drug squad found six cannabis plants of 50 to 60 centimetres height in his apartment in Mazotos, Larnaca.

They also found small quantity of cannabis during the search.

Police confiscated the plants as well as the equipment used for their cultivation.
