The inspiring teen artist living with Down Syndrome

In this video, we meet up-and-coming teen artist, Emmett Kyoshi, who is showing the world that disability does not define your limits.

Since age four, Emmett, who lives with Down Syndrome, has created over 65 abstract pieces that have been featured in three gallery showings, including a commission to paint the American Flag for the American Embassy in Croatia.

Via his website and social media presence, Emmett spreads his message of inclusion, and raises awareness and understanding about people with Down Syndrome.

Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21. This extra genetic material causes the developmental changes and physical features of Down syndrome.
