Nouris on two-day working visit to Serbia

Interior Minister Nicos Nouris is expected to discuss immigration issues with his Serbian counterpart during his two-day trip to Serbia that gets underway later on Thursday.

Nouris, who travels to Serbia on Thursday, will initially have a one-to-one meeting with the Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin to discuss immigration and asylum issues before they attend consultations with official delegations.

The two ministers will sign an agreement of cooperation between the two countries on disaster protection. The Cypriot minister will also participate in an exercise on internal security issues.

Following their meeting, they are expected to give a press conference.

The Minister of Interior will also meet with the Minister of Public Administration and Local Government Marija Obradović, to discuss issues of local self-government and exchange views on good practices.

Meetings with the Mayors of Belgrade Zoran Radojičić and Novi Sad Miloš Vučević, will also take place for an exchange of views on local government issues.

Nouris is due back from Belgrade on Saturday.
