Priyanka Chopra shares teen anxiety over her skin colour

Actress Priyanka Chopra is getting candid about her journey to the self-confidence she is known for today.

The actress is renowned for her stunning presence on any big Hollywood red carpet… but that doesn’t mean she always felt positive about herself.

In a new interview with the ‘Mirror’, she opened up about the racism and bullying she faced over her skin tone as a teen, despite the irony that today, she is the new face of cosmetics brand Max Factor.

“When I was a teenager, definitely the lighter skin you had, the prettier you were,” she said. “The foundations I used to use were probably for someone with skin 20 shades lighter than me, but that was just what you got.”
