Coronavirus: Free rapid test sites for Monday

Testing sites will continue to operate around the island on Monday offering free rapid tests to groups of the population.

Rules in place until the end of August mean only the following groups can receive a free test. Other people must pay a maximum of €10 for a test at private labs and pharmacies.

Those entitled to receive free tests are:

  • Minors up to 17 years of age who do not have the permission of their parents for a vaccine.
  • Persons aged 18 and over who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons and have been approved as such by the Cyprus Medical Association and the Ministry of Health
  • Pregnant women.
  • Individuals vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine less than three weeks ago.
  • People who have completed their vaccination regimen but wish to undergo tests for health monitoring purposes or for other
  • Persons holding a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 disease within the last180 days but wishing to undergo tests for health monitoring purposes or for other reasons.
