Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is due in Cyprus on Friday on an official visit.

According to the itinerary released from Athens, at 11am the Greek premier will be received at the palace by President Nicos Anastasiades.

At 1pm Mitsotakis will be the guest of honour at a lunch hosted by Disy leader Averof Neophytou. Later, at 5.15pm he will meet with a committee representing municipalities and communities in the north.

At 7pm Mitsotakis will address a Disy party congress.

Mitsotakis’ conservative New Democracy party is considered as the counterpart of Disy in Cyprus.

The Greek leader arrives here at a time of increasingly belligerent Turkish government rhetoric against both Greece and Cyprus.
