Famagusta man arrested for cannabis possession

Police on Sunday arrested a 32-year-old man in Famagusta for possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

According to a police statement, members of the drug squad (Ykan) obtained a court warrant and searched the 32-year-old’s residence shortly before 5 pm. During the search police found a plastic container with dry cannabis leaves, weighing 75 grams, and a partially smoked cigarette containing cannabis.

Police arrested the man for illegal drugs possession with intent to supply, and he was taken into custody.

The case is under ongoing investigation.
