Man arrested for cannabis possession in Limassol

Police on Monday afternoon arrested a man after finding over three-and-a-half kilos of cannabis in his vehicle. 

According to official statement, Limassol police and the drug squad carried out coordinated efforts to intercept and arrest the 40-year-old man while driving.

In the search that followed, police found two backpacks in the boot of the car, containing six packages of cannabis, weighing a total of 3.626 kg.

Police continue investigations.
