Man sentenced to five years in prison for drug-related crimes

A 63-year-old man was sentenced for five years by the Larnaca criminal court after he was found guilty of illegal possession of drugs with intent to supply.

A police statement said that the man was arrested on September 6, 2022, after members of the Ykan drug squad seized a large quantity of synthetic cannabinoids and materials used to prepare the substance from his residence and car.

Police also found a small amount of cocaine and cannabis, as well as two precision scales in a warehouse used by the man to store the drugs.
