Non-profit technology organisation TechIsland and Adsterra on Tuesday announced the inauguration of the Women in Tech® Cyprus Chapter, an initiative poised to empower women in technology.

According to the announcement, the Women in Tech® organisation is renowned globally for its advocacy of inclusion and diversity within STEAM fields, aspiring to eliminate gender disparities and empower women in technology-related sectors.

With a global footprint spanning nearly 190,000 individuals across 45 chapters worldwide, Women in Tech® has impacted over 300,000 women through educational programmes, mentorships, and skill development since its inception in 2018. The movement sets an ambitious goal to empower over 5,000,000 women and girls by 2030.

The Women in Tech® Cyprus is an open and free community welcoming the participation of women of all ages and backgrounds who work in the tech sector, as well as men supporting female empowerment.

Through the international Women in Tech® network, members of the Cyprus Chapter will have access to a Global Mentorship Programme and a wide range of educational programmes, including with global accelerator Plug & Play.

The programmes are offered for different age groups and include hard skilling, such as coding and blockchain, and soft skilling, like role model programmes and a career bootcamp.

Moreover, a Talent Hub with a dedicated Job Board for HR Professionals is also offered for members of the community.
