An 18-year-old man has been arrested for fleeing the scene of a road collision that occurred early Tuesday morning in Famagusta. He was later remanded for two days.
The man was driving a four-wheeled motorcycle with three passengers, two women and one man, when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and injuring all three passengers.
The driver fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately following the incident.
The injured passengers were taken to Famagusta General Hospital, where it was determined that the 20-year-old man had a fractured arm and the 19-year-old woman a fractured pelvis. The second woman, after receiving first aid, was discharged.
Police identified and arrested the driver late Tuesday night and took him into custody.
