A 16-year-old child was arrested on Saturday evening after being found with a total of 68 fireworks and smoke bombs at a football match on Saturday evening.

The boy was found and arrested during the match between Aris Limassol and Greek club Olympiacos at Limassol’s Alphamega Stadium and was taken into custody.

In court on Sunday, he was remanded in custody for three days.

The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
