September marks a new season in many ways. Besides the dreaded back-to-school and return to work, a refreshed cultural calendar arrives, rich in performances of all kinds. Music, theatre, dance, art markets, concerts and all sorts of events and festivals are about to fill the autumn months.

This month, a world-renowned musician travels to Cyprus bringing classical music sounds. Violinist Yury Revich will grace the stage at Ancient Curium on September 28 with his Guarneri violin and accompanied by a chamber string orchestra from Austria. In a mesmerising outdoor setting, illuminated by stars and candles, Revich will perform well-known masterpieces by Vivaldi and Piazzolla.

“Set against the historic and picturesque backdrop of the Ancient Curium theatre, this concert promises an unforgettable experience,” say organisers. “The combination of Revich’s unparalleled talent, the exquisite sound of the Guarneri, accompanied by a string chamber orchestra and the enchanting ambience of the candlelit theatre will create a truly magical evening.”

The violin concert is set to begin at 8pm yet doors to the venue will open at 7pm, welcoming guests just after sunset.
