Developments in the eastern Mediterranean, Ukraine, the Cyprus problem, Kosovo and defence cooperation between Cyprus and Serbia were discussed on Monday between the presidents of the two countries, Nikos Christodoulides and Aleksandar Vučić.

In a written statement, government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said Christodoulides and Vučić, who met on the sidelines of the UN general assembly in New York, reviewed the excellent relationship between their two countries.

Christodoulides thanked Serbia for its stance of principle on the Cyprus problem and Vučić on his side thanked Cyprus for its support regarding Serbia’s EU accession course.
