Solar radiation, which contributes to the production of electricity and heat, can play an important role in green transition and reducing Cyprus’ dependence on mineral fuel, the Cyprus Institute says in a new TV spot.

Titled “Green transition: solutions and future prospects”, the video shows the need to cultivate awareness regarding the production and storage of green energy.

The institute says that a combination of innovative technologies, such as photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, where the best solution for an island with sunshine, such as Cyprus.

The TV spots in Greek and English are part of a campaign to cultivate awareness around the climate crisis and the opportunities arising through the transition to the green economy, in line with EU goals.
