The condition of two young men injured in the fatal car crash in Frenaros over the weekend, has been assessed as stable, doctors reported on Monday.
The two, aged 18 and 20, were passengers in the accident which led to the death of three other: Martinos Martis, Irenaios Adamos, both aged 20, and Nikolas Koutsos, 18.
Their funerals will take place at 2pm on Tuesday in their home community of Frenaros, paid for by local authorities.
A funeral service will be held at the Holy Church of Archangel Michael in Frenaros and the burial will take place at the municipal cemetery, it was announced, while the Paralimni-Dheryneia municipality declared a three-day mourning period.
“The wishes of the families are for all the young people and friends of the deceased to wear white T-shirts. The families will not receive condolences,” the community said.
Elsewhere, the Frenaros football association said that “the sporting activity of all its branches is suspended for the next three days.”
Autopsies on the bodies of the three who died were concluded on Monday morning. Medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous undertook the procedure starting at 8.30am at the Nicosia hospital.
