The cold weather system designated as ‘Coral’ will bring temperatures significantly below the seasonal norms on Thursday. The day is forecast to be partly cloudy to overcast with isolated rains and snowfall in the mountains. Temperatures will reach 13C in the interior, 15C in the coasts, and 5C in the higher mountains where frosty conditions will persist. Winds will be mainly north-westerly to northerly, moderate to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.

Overnight will be partly cloudy with temperatures falling to 6C in the interior, 8C on the coasts, and 3C in the higher mountains, with ongoing frost. Winds will be north-westerly to north-easterly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort and strong at times, up to 5 Beaufort and the sea will stay rough.

Friday and Saturday will be overcast with intermittent rains and snowfall in the mountains and foothills. Temperatures will continue to fall reaching well below usual seasonal averages.
