The revised Cypriot tax system, which has been in effect since January 1, 2026, will be presented to businesses and investment organisations in Greece during a special event in Athens.

The presentation is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 6, 2025, between 10:00 and 14:30 at the Theocharakis Foundation Amphitheatre located at 9 Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and Merlin Street.

The primary objective of the gathering is to provide a comprehensive update to Greek enterprises regarding the latest modifications to the taxation framework of Cyprus.

This initiative comes at a time when Greek investment in Cyprus is experiencing a period of continuous growth and expansion.

Tax Commissioner Sotiris Markides will deliver the keynote presentation on the new tax system, providing technical insights into the legislative changes.

Various auditing and legal firms will also participate to outline the specialised services they offer to Greek businesses and individual investors operating on the island.

The event will open with introductory greetings from the Ambassador of Cyprus in Athens, Stavros Avgoustidis, alongside Stavros Stavrou, the President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Iosif Iosif, the President of the Cyprus-Greece Business Association, will also offer a welcoming address to the attendees.

Dimitrios Skalkos, the President of Enterprise Greece and Secretary General for International Economic Relations at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is confirmed as a prominent speaker.

The agenda includes contributions from a representative of Invest Cyprus, who will discuss the broader investment landscape.

Odysseas Christodoulou, the President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus, will provide a professional perspective on the accounting implications of the reform.

The President of the Cyprus Bar Association, Michalis Vorkas, is also set to speak on the legal aspects of the updated fiscal regime.

The event is held under the official auspices of the Embassy of Cyprus in Greece and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Cyprus-Greece Business Association and Invest Cyprus are also providing their formal backing to ensure the success of the presentation.

By hosting the briefing in the heart of Athens opposite the Parliament, organisers intend to facilitate direct communication between Cypriot officials and the Greek financial community.
