New decrees regulating the mandatory medical and lab tests on workers in vehicle painting shops and bus drivers were announced on Tuesday by Labour Minister Marinos Mousiottas.
According to the department of labour inspection, the two decrees determine the type and period of validity of lab tests for workers exposed to chemical substances that pose risks to human health, as well as bus drivers.
The examinations include a general clinical examination, as well as special tests, such as a complete lung function test and a hearing test, as well as lab tests including a complete blood count, biochemical tests, and a general urinalysis.
The two decrees have been posted on the website of the labour inspection department.
