The second edition of Dot.on.the.map Industry Days, organised by the Cyprus Film Days International Festival, the ministry of education and Rialto Theatre, will be held online in April as part of the 19th Cyprus Film Days International Festival and has now launched an open call for participants.

Dot.on.the.map Industry Days launched online last year and is a co-production, training and networking platform that brings producers, directors and scriptwriters from countries bordering the Mediterranean together with international film professionals. It provides an opportunity for filmmakers from these countries to present their new feature film projects and network with international industry professionals.

This year’s event will also be held online. Producers and directors will ‘pitch’ their new feature film projects, to representatives of the international film industry.

The organisers’ vision is the development of this initiative into a dynamic platform for artistic and financial collaborations, which will contribute to the development of the art of filmmaking in Cyprus and the wider region.

All submissions must be received by February 28. Interested parties can submit applications online at http://dot.cyprusfilmdays.com/

The 2021 edition of Dot.on.the.map Industry Days will include two sections – the Meeting Point and the Cinema Talks. The first is an international co-production forum which creates a platform to offer filmmakers the opportunity to pitch their projects to the international film industry to get them co-produced, financed, developed and/or distributed. Cinema Talks will offer a series of masterclasses, debates, seminars and workshops with acclaimed industry professionals. Cinema Talks are open to everyone, with priority given to industry professionals and accredited festival guests.
