In this GQ video, renowned fashion designer Tom Ford, makes over art director Ale De Carvalho, offering him (and us) tips on how to stand out in a sea of black tuxes.

Ford launched his eponymous luxury brand in 2006, having previously served as creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. He also wrote and directed the Academy Award-nominated films ‘A Single Man’ (2009) and ‘Nocturnal Animals’ (2016) and today serves as chairman of the board of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
