Where there’s a chill: Stephen King’s path to ruling horror

In this video, world-renowned horror writer, Stephen King, offers his insights on his creative process, and also takes us behind the scenes of the latest small-screen version of one of his works.

At 73, the bestselling author of horror and suspense has adapted his 2006 novel ‘Lisey’s Story’ into an Apple TV miniseries, directed by Pablo Larraín and starring actress Julianne Moore.

Here, from his home in Bangor, Maine, King talks with ‘Sunday Morning’ anchor Jane Pauley about maintaining his prodigious output, what his early success with ‘Carrie’ meant for his mother, and how a box left behind by his late father changed the course of his life.
